Your First Look Behind The Scenes - A Glimpse Into Our Installation Process

Above you’ll see your first look behind the scenes of our imaging brand–Warren Image Works.

It’s a glimpse into our installation process.

One of the four main categories of products and services Warren Image Works offers is Graphics & Signage.

And one of the items within Graphics & Signage we tend to get quite a lot of orders for is window graphics.

The time-lapse video above shows the custom installation of a window graphic--roughly forty-five minutes of work, which is actually a pretty darn good time for such a detail-oriented job.

This particular graphic was one image divided over nine panels of glass of varying size.

Some may have already guessed, but it’s the Smithfield Street Bridge in Pittsburgh.

Now, this graphic is actually part of a much much bigger project we were fortunate enough to be a part of.

If you click here you can see our featured project article that gives some more overall information as well as some more imagery.

For a little background though…

Allegheny Center was a commercial and retail space on Pittsburgh’s North Side with office space and a shopping mall.

Eventually–in the nineties–the shopping mall pretty much died a slow death, leaving behind a big but fairly unremarkable office building.

And there it sat.
For a long time.

Then it began a rebirth as Nova Place in the past couple years, and we were got a chance to be a part of it.

Seeing as we’re in the same neighborhood, we were very happy to be able contribute.

In short, all of the glass storefronts of the former shopping mall were to be covered in perforated window graphics, and we got the call.

For those of you keeping score at home, that was a project of 24,000 square feet of window graphics, and we got it done in about two months–on time and on budget.

That’s prepping, producing, cutting and installing–the whole thing from soup to nuts, as they say.

Anyway, this video is just a quick peek at what two full-time crews of two or three installers did all day every day for about a month and half.

Needless to say, they weren’t sad to be done with the work upon completion, but darn if we all weren’t very proud of how it all turned out.

Stop by Nova Place sometime and take a walk around the concourse if you want to admire the fruits of our labor.
